About Us

in october 2020, we were looking into candles and began to read about the harm that comes from burning candles made with certain waxes, dyes, and chemicals. learning that using ingredients like soy wax and essential oils lead to the cleanest, safest, and healthiest experience, we decided to start making candles for our own personal use.we went online, bought a starter kit, wax, jars, and essential oils, and got to work.

after getting the "recipe" correct and making too many candles for a single person's own consumption, we began looking into what it would take to turn this newfound hobby and talent into something successful. thus began what would one day become treat yourself with kindness.

founded by a queer person in the midwest, treat yourself with kindness is focused on the importance of self love, self care, and self respect, with endless positivity in mind. we take pride in offering products made for everyone to enjoy. no matter gender identity, race, social class, sexuality, etc., treat yourself with kindness offers products for all to enjoy to their hearts' content. we are excited to welcome you into our family with open arms!
